Belles of the Ball ...

Introducing Katie & Klaire.  These sweet sisters are adorable and we had way too much fun together.   We opted for a simple session and found this gazebo where the girls loved walking down the stairs and pretending they were princesses.  Their interpretive sashay was clever and fun to watch in person.  Not to mention their dresses were perfect for such an occasion.  We stopped by the lake, looked for few fish and you'll never guess what they found while they were there.  They are holding it and admiring it in the second to last photo below.  Any guesses?

Chocolate From Heaven ...

While on vacation, I got to spend lots of time with my niece and nephew.   My Sister In Law had been saving these sweet outfits just for their photos.   Look at those suspenders on "Bubba".   Adorable!   Big Sister Addy was also a great helper.  She kept gently guiding Bubba and telling him what to do throughout the session.  She adores her little Bubba.

The title of this post cracks me up.  Earlier in the day, my kids and their grandmother had been to a homemade candy store.  While we were there I couldn't resist picking up a few really cute sprinkle and chocolate covered Rice Krispie treats that resembled popsicles.  I didn't tell the kids I had them but had planned to give the goodies to them after they were finished.  After all, it was crazy hot and humid during the session and the kids came from a long day at school before the shoot.   So, chocolate treats seemed warranted.  Not to mention, it's fun to be the giver of chocolate right before bedtime - haha!

I never intended to take ANY photos WITH the chocolate.   After seeing the pure joy on their faces and delight with the chocolate, it would have been opportunity missed.  The very last photo is my favorite and it just says it ALL ...

Here's that LAST photo I mentioned.  Just LOOK at that drip running down Bubba's chin ...

Both kids are clearly in ALL their glory ...

LOVE!    xo

Little Black Dress

The weather has been so cold and windy lately that shooting indoors was a welcome treat.  It's always nice to be challenged creatively and try something new.

So in we went ... to the mall!  You have to check out little Miss Avery.  Her Mom is the owner of Posh Tot Couture and sells the cutest clothing and jewelry, including this little black dress!   Avery was adorable with her tiara and hint of Breakfast At Tiffany's theme going on while she twirled her way around the mall.  With a stop at the candy store and a ride on the carousel, what more could a little girl want?

Enjoy.
